Enjoying life after a separation?! Give each other the space

Enjoying life. It sounds so obvious, but after a separation it can feel like a luxury you no longer allow yourself, or the other person, when it matters so much. The life you had together is over. Surely not everything was bad, but it’s behind you now. The future is wide open, and enjoying life is part of it. Allow each other that too. Give each other the space.
A fresh start, from a place of calm.
Enjoying life comes more easily when there’s calm. When messages don’t keep arriving that stir up old frustrations. When emotions don’t keep running high and there are no slanging matches in between the messages from friends, family and maybe even a new love.
That’s why we’re building BeNice. A platform made especially for communication between separated parents. So that WhatsApp, email and text messages can go back to being for the people you’re building your new life with. And so that conversations with the other parent are clear, practical and free of blame, in a separate space that also holds all your agreements about the children, school holidays, doctor’s appointments and everything else there is to arrange.
Clearer, more respectful communication, so that coordinating goes smoothly and you have energy left for the good things.
Let each other enjoy life
A separation doesn’t mean “the end of enjoying life” forever. It’s a new start. A chance to shape your life anew. And how much nicer it is when communicating with the other parent no longer feels like a burden, but like an organised part of the new whole.
Allow yourself and each other that calm. That respect. That space to enjoy life again.
